The finalists for the 15th Resistance International Film Festival’s International Cinema awards ceremony have been announced.
The list is as follows:
Best Screenplay Nominees:
‘The Father’ directed by Basil Alkhatib, ‘Passage to Dawn’ directed by Andreu Castro, ‘Underwater Cypress’ directed by Mohammad Ali Bashe Ahangar, and ‘Midday Event’ directed by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian.
Best Director Nominees:
‘Panfilov's 28’ directed by Kim Druzhinin and Andrey Shalopa, ‘The Lost Strait’ directed by Bahram Tavakoli, ‘A Twelve-Year Night’ directed by Álvaro Brechner, ‘Midday Event’ directed by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, and ‘Passage to Dawn’ directed by Andreu Castro.
Best Film Nominees:

The 15th annual Resistance International Film Festival seeks to establish an atmosphere of discourse through the recognition of filmmakers and activists. The event also aims to promote common human ethos of peace, brotherhood, and the resistance of oppression, all while fighting violence and terrorism through the universal language of films.
The festival's final ceremony is currently underway at Felestin Theater Hall in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
